    DefinitionProcessed Eucheuma Seaweed is obtained by aqueous alkaline treatment of natural strains of seaweeds Eucheuma cottonil and Eucheuma Spinosum of the class Rhodophyceae (Red seaweeds). Formaldehyde may be present as an advantageous impurity up to a maximum level of 5mg/kg.
